Travel to Vietnam When is the best time
The best time to travel in Vietnam is when there is a reduced chance of rain:
October - January ( Hanoi ), February - April (Hue and Danang ),
December - March ( from Dalat to the Mekong Delta).

Visitors can get a taxi, motobike (xe om) from airports to the city centre. Apart from these means, in some big cities as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can get to the centre by bus. Taxi In Hanoi Airport Taxis charge a flat rate of US$ 15 (one-way) for cars from Noi Bai Airport to central Hanoi. The drive takes about 45 minutes. A minibus makes the trip for  US$ 4 per person.Fare for buses No. 7 Kim Ma - Noi Bai and No. 17 Long Bien - Noi Bai is VND 5,000. There is a bus every 15 - 20 minutes .  In Ho Chi Minh City:A metered cab from Tan Son Nhat Airport to downtown costs around VND 100,000. The trip takes about 20 minutes

Vietnam Money
Until recently, many upmarket hotels insisted that you pay in US dollars, but now all businesses (except Vietnam Airlines) must accept payment in dong. In practice, many still display their prices in US dollars. It´s advisable to bring travellers cheques in US dollars as well as a little US currency.
The banknotes come in denominations of 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10,000, 20,000, 50, 100,000 ,200.000,500.000 dong. In small towns, it can be difficult to get change for the larger notes, so keep a stack of smaller bills handy. Now that Ho Chi Minh has been canonised (against his wishes), you´ll find his picture on every banknote

What thing should bring when travels
Comfortable lightweight clothing in natural fabrics such as cotton is most suitable. Lightweight raincoat is a good idea in the rainy season.Winter months in Hanoi and the rainy season in the central region can get cool so a sweater or light jacket will come in handy. Good walking shoes and sandals that can be easily removed are recommended especially when entering temples and people's homes.Outside of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City you will have trouble finding sunscreen, tampons, mosquito repellent, multivitamins, and prescription medicines. So make sure you got all sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, personal first aid kit, personal toiletries. Shirts and long pants is needed when visiting religious buildings including temple and pagoda or at formal events.
